After you have switched browsers and your assignment is still not opening, you must disable pop-up blocker.

Burning Rage for Pearson My Lab

I’ve been in college a long time, like way too long, but that’s what happens when you switch majors in your Junior year. I did two years in person pre Covid.

Before the shift to online learning, all of my math homework’s/ statistics / accounting were hand written and hand graded. Credit for work, helpful little notes on correct excel formulas, what I did wrong…

THE RAGE I HAVE FOR PEARSON AND MCGRAW HILL HAS BEEN BURNING FOR TOO LONG AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY HAD IT.

This complaint is specifically about a high level stats course. I have a 89% in the class, phenomenal exam scores. But my homework is at 60%.

Why? Question: round to three decimals My answer : .808 “Incorrect, check your use of technology” checks notes, re do formula, same answer on excel “The correct answer was .8080”

In other circumstances, I find myself having to entirely guess from the hundreds of excel formulas which one it wants me to do, because the question gives 0 clues.

HOW ABOUT YOU JUST TELL ME THE CORRECT FORMULA SO I CAN ACTUALLY LEARN WHAT DO DO INSTEAD OF RAGE QUITTING MY HOMEWORK AFTER 6 HOURS.

Don’t even get me started on how every question has 15 questions inside of it.

It’s not even worth pointing out these flaws to the professors as they consider the program some holy savior. Trust me I have tried.

If professors actually used this software like we do, they would understand why students don’t do their homework.

How is it that my test scores are in the 90s and my homework is 60s? I swear to god I think they just don’t want to grade homework by hand and actually help us anymore.

This problem has happened with about 6 professors, I know they aren’t paid much, and are busy people. But why punish the paying student with software so irritating we can barely use it.

I graduate in December, so the torture is hopefully over soon. Honestly I’m surprised litigation against these companies isn’t happening considering students pay them for the software and get screwed over.

TLDR: Pearson is actually Satan. I hate it with every fiber of my soul.
