It could be to get the dream job or get good grades on the exams. The point which I want to prove is that the definition of success changes from one person to another. The person sitting next to you will have a completely different view of success compared to you so there is no definite definition of success for everyone around the world.

But success could be simply defined as the satisfaction one gets after accomplishing the goals. Let us take the example of the students sitting here and we all know that every student in school aspires and aims to be successful in school. Being successful in academics and getting good grades is the dream of every student. They need to do it to achieve their goals and be successful in life. 

Students let me tell you the road to success is not easy and if was easy everyone would have been successful. Success is also not achieved in a day or a night. It is a long steady process that requires hard work, commitment, and sacrifice. 

Students let me tell you that the amount of success a person achieves is directly related to the number of things that person has sacrificed in life. I want you all to understand this concept of sacrifice because it is required for you to become successful. I truly believe that if you are not ready to sacrifice the things that are dearest to your heart, you won’t achieve anything in life. I don’t mean that sacrificing things such as not even food or playing, those activities are required for the proper functioning of your brain. Not playing video games or watching television is the sacrifice you have to make if you want to get good grades in school. You can do fun activities when you are free and not when your examinations are approaching. It is very important to invest your time in studying when needed.

The next important thing that one should have to be successful in life is a firm blueprint to accomplish your goals. Students should plan accordingly to reach their goals and accomplish wonders. Blueprint is required and the first step in making a blueprint is to invest your time in your goals which could be done by preparing a good timetable. Students as we all know lost money could be earned back in the future but the time lost cannot be gained back. Time is the most valuable asset of anyone’s life and it is very important to figure out how to invest it and on whom we should invest it. Investing your time to develop a new skill and cultivate it in the future is what most successful people do. You might have heard about Elon Musk. He is the world’s richest person and people think he is the richest because he has money, the answer is no, he is the richest because of the goals he has accomplished throughout his life.20 years back he had invested his time in learning new skills and inventing new things and the time he invested back then has given him the status of the world richest man today. All I want to say to all the students present here is they do dream about a good life, do dream about a goal or a job that will settle your but it is also required that you have to work on that, you have to water it every day so that it will yield you the success you want in the future. 

Students to be successful you have to go through failure. Facing failure fearlessly is required if you want to achieve your goals. Many people don’t take risks because they fear failure and those are the people who never become successful in life. Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, Mukesh Ambani, and many more are known for taking risks in life. What would have happened if Mukesh Ambani did not take the risk of introducing the Jio 4G network? We could still be using other networks and mostly our online learning could have been affected. Students, what I am trying to say is that taking a risk in life is very important and you may encounter failures. Facing failures is important as something that is the only thing that guides us through our journey to success. Do not be afraid of failure and always remember that when you fail forward and learn from it. 

To conclude this speech I want to say that Success plays an important role in a person’s life. It is very important to be successful if you want to be recognized by the world but keep in mind that success is not the final stage of your life, it won’t solve all of your problems. We often hear that many people take success too seriously and have mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Having a goal in your mind and working towards it is very important but it does not mean being too serious about it. Work on the process of becoming successful rather than running after it. I have been given the opportunity to host the programme this year and I am pretty enthusiastic to address everyone as this may be my last interaction with many of you. Well, emotions apart, I would like to utilise this platform to share some secrets of success with you all. So far success for you must be to successfully complete the assignments on time, attend the lectures, never miss classes, maintain required attendance, give semester exams and of course to fair well in the exams. But life in reality is a bigger sea; in fact it’s an ocean, which you will have to swim across. Sometimes life may hit you as hard as a brick does; but don’t lose hope. Always believe that those who don’t give up can only meet the success ultimately. But if I ask you to define success, many of you must say ‘its name, fame, recognition, big house, car, fat bank balance, etc.’ But I would say, the interpretation of success may change from person to person. The ultimate success is happiness and satisfaction. It’s important that you pursue your passion and love. Don’t follow other’s dream; instead follow your goals and dreams. For you are not someone else; you have your identity and capacity and work accordingly in order to achieve the real success.

I can understand that many of you must not even have decided about your career goals. Some of you might go for further studies, some may join the corporate world and some of you may join your family business. Each option would come with its own prospects and challenges. You must only concentrate on your activities and must not imagine the consequences. Don’t get disheartened, if you fail initially, instead keep trying. Remember that your mistakes give you valuable lessons in the end and also help you choose the right path. We have heard about several stories in our childhood such as the ‘story of ant, who tries to climb the mountain’ or ‘slow and steady wins the race’ and many more. The moral of all these stories is common that you should keep trying until you succeed and no matter you are slow but if you are steady, you are certainly going to win.

I won’t say that life is a race and you should beat others to win. Instead, you must try to remain grounded even when you succeed. You guys are the future of our nation; you must also try to fulfil your social responsibilities so that the next generation can follow your footsteps. Today, we need people who are successful yet considerate. You have the ability to introduce changes and bring revolution in every field. So stay focused and follow your journey towards success.

If you wouldn’t fail in life, how will you feel what it is to be successful in life? So prepare yourself for the worse and leave no stone unturned in realizing your aims. There will be times of recurrent failures, but one day success will definitely touch your feet.

My dear students please understand that life is full of complexities and the road to success is not easy. It was halftime during one of my 7th-grade football games. And we were losing 14 - 0. With our knees planted in the grass, my team was quietly huddled, drenched in sweat and defeat. Suddenly, it was game over.

That's when our assistant coach burst into our circle and shattered our pity party, delivering one of the best motivational speeches I've heard to this day.

I can't directly quote him because he said some inappropriate things for a blog post (and, in hindsight, probably for a bunch of 13-year-olds too).

The point is he harnessed the power of words to rejuvenate a physically and emotionally drained team. And we came back clawing to win the game.

Motivational Speech

A motivational speech can come from anywhere or anyone, but it usually has a specific audience in mind.

Some people have a major deficiency where they think, "I'll be that one day," "the moment isn't right," "I can't do it," etc. The key element that converts sound reasoning into prompt action is motivation. It converts a good idea into a company and has a positive impact on the world. Success has a significant impact on a person's life. We must understand that neither success nor failure is definitive or a dead end; rather, it is the fortitude to move on that counts. The key to success in life is having the bravery and tenacity to persevere with your ambitions.

Success takes time to achieve because it is not something that can be done overnight. We must have faith that putting forth effort will yield fruitful results.

If you initially fail, don't give up; instead, keep trying. Keep in mind that mistakes teach you important lessons and aid in making the right decisions. The unifying lesson in all of these tales is that you should keep trying until you succeed and that even if you go slowly but steadily, you will eventually succeed. It's an adventure to live. Be passionate. Love what you do. If you do not love what you do, you will never make any progress in the job you are doing. Find your passion, and move behind it. That’s how a champion is born. Find a job of your interest and start working on it to be successful.

I heard the story of a donkey that fell in a well and the people around tried to bury it.

They started pouring sand into the well so that the donkey could be buried but the donkey had the right attitude, it kept shaking the sand off.

As the donkey was shaking the sand off, it kept rising till it was able to get to the top of the well and come out.

The reason why I shared this story is that you will always have people in life that will talk you out of your vision.

Don’t let them bury your talent instead shake it off and move on.

When you continually shake it off, you will continually move ahead in life.

Shake off the insults, shake off the hate, shake off the failure , shake off the negative words and move ahead in life.

Get back in the game

You should never give up on your vision. It would help if you never quit in life.

You have got all it takes to be a success. Even if you fail, pick yourself up and get back in the game.
